Quarantine, shmarantine; we’re as festive as ever over here! But it is more fun to share with others. So, without further ado, a photo tour of our home for Christmas 2020!
I stick with traditional reds, greens, and silvers in this room, accented by lots of lighted garland and red berries. I also have a solid start on owning the Williams Sonoma’s Twas the Night Before Christmas collection. It’s not even remotely affordable, so I’m collecting things slowly, primarily utilizing after-Christmas and clearance sales. I have no doubt I’ll get there….eventually! One day, I’ll give this collection its own post. It’s so festive!
This room is a lot more playful than the dining room, pulling in a lot more jewel tones. This wider spectrum of colors pop right off our usually neutral living room, especially when they’re glitter and sparkly! I also really Jim Shore’s style and have begun collecting some of his colorful Christmas pieces, as well. Our tree is artificial, but there’s a real wreath tucked into the lower level of the coffee table that fills the entire room with that fresh pine scent. We prefer that to any synthetic Christmas tree smells out there!
Hot cocoa bars and waaaay too many cookies for the two of us to eat! But hey, that’s Christmas, right? Also, my husband says I’m developing a nutcracker problem. He might be right.
This is, by no means, the rest of our home decor. But this post already has too many photos in it, so I’m going to hold myself back a little. But I definitely believe in paying attention to the little details. Here are a few of mine. (Also, I clearly have an affinity for the word “merry”…)
One of my favorite parts of our home at Christmas is how it looks on the exterior. It is so much fun to pull into the driveway of a house alight with festive cheer! And this year, the cheer extends around the corner along our fence, along with a large wreath in our roof eave. Our lights team is fantastic and worth every penny!
